I haven't tried other versions of Outlook because 2010 is what the executives have.
I like cached mode because it acts as a buffer between the user and the server so if there's a network interruption their Outlook contents do not disappear or freeze.
I noticed that a new email address was not showing up in the global address list in Outlook 2010 for a few executives.
Some initial investigation resulted in pointing the finger at the offline address book.
I have tried to manually download the offline global address list and this does not work either.
I've verified the permissions on the file on the Exchange server, verified permissions in IIS 6.0 and things look OK.This reduces network traffic and improves performance. The offline address book is a snapshot of information from the Global Address List (GAL).The only thing is that this path will not load the XML in a web browser.I've tried various browsers and they all prompt for credentials.
